Anyone gotten the SD-card ROM update method to work?

In this thread

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=69584

it mentions another way to supposedly do the ROM update... doing a HW reset with the (edit)wireless button (tho I have mucho trouble finding the right timing on these button.. any help there?) but once I do, it comes up with the ROM update screen, and goes off and searches for the ROM update image. I've copied it to the root of the SD card AND into "My Documents" on the SD card... it does not find either copy and comes back saying no image found.

Wondering if anyone has gotten this to work (yes I have to apply the ROM update and have issues finding a PC that will work, so I am trying this method first).

Thanks,
Mike

im unsure if you can used the old trick wih x30h,

backup pims or full back up, then erase card or if space

is available copy the rom image file to root of card,

according to instruction the next step is to do a 3 finger

reboot (read hard reset), and the device should read the root

and perform a rom upgrade, after you do a restore of pim,

and your set (or you now have an expensive paper weight)

please do use the search function of this board for the exact procedure.
