Question Moving Contacts and Calender data to ROM

My old iPaq allowed the contact and calender info to be stored in ROM. Is this possible in the X50? And if so do you think it makes sense, not only because it's ROM (even though slower) but also because it will free up RAM? Thanks!

You can do it to the BIS (Built in Storage) You could say that this storage space is ROM but the actual ROM of the device is not writtable by the user

I guess that is what I was asking... How do I put that in BIS?

In the File Explorer it appears as a folder named "Built-in Storage". I guess the real pickle is to configure the programs so they write and read their data in that space.

I don't believe you can move this info to BIS, it's stored within the Windows Mobile Databases. If so, it might entail a registry hack, maybe more.

Perhaps 3rd party PIM applications will allow you to do so...

Not that I've seen, as most of the 3rd party apps simply use the data in the Windows Mobile PIM DB's. I can say that Pocket Informant does not allow to change your contacts and calendar to BIS or SD/CF. Not sure about other apps such as Agenda Fusion . . .
