Freaking out regarding Outlook. . .

Hi all -

First off, again, thank you for all of your help thus far; I've learned much from reviewing the posts.

Secondly, here's my dilemma; hope you can help!

I recently spent days loading everything into Outlook. My work gave me a CD version of Groupwise (I usually use the web version); when I did this, it screwed up my POP settings in Outlook and will not let me open it.

Here's my Axim dilemma. . .

I have everything loaded there. If I were to sync it with my computer, will it delete everything in my Axim (to match my now defunct Outlook settings) OR is there a way that I can reload everthing from my Axim to my computer?

Thank you in advance!
Alli

Exclamation Open Active sync

hit tools / options then rules
where it says desktop change it to
allways the item on this computer
but I'd back it all up first just cause that's always the safest way to do anything

See above - just make your PDA the default and not the desktop or merge/meld the two.

Hi-

Groupwise is a whole different monster to deal with than Outlook-I've tried to sync with Groupwise w/o success. BTW there are two options I know of, one is a commercial program you can purchase (I forgot what it's called but ran across it through one of the forums on Aximsite...

The second options is from Novell, only if you're using Groupwise 6.5.3 (this is the most current version of groupwise available (service pack three)-right now the company I work for uses 6.5.2 and I can tell you it definitely will not work with any release before 6.5.3!!! One the plus side, if you are using this version, the program is available for free from Novell's site. BTW, I did try to sync through Outlook-one thing I did notice is that Outlook seems to reference Novell's database. There are no 'Outlook' system/database files, which is why I believe you cannot sync through Groupwise via Outlook even though you can view you info in desktop Outlook.

Hope this helps...
