How to reset to factory default ?

I've borrowed a friends x50v - How do I perform a reset back to factory default ?

Hold down the power button while you push in the reset pin in back of the Axim. Are you sure you want to do that to your friends Axim?

thanks for that pdahound. he hasn't started to use it yet, he is the type of guy to order a new gadget and have it lying around a few weeks, so I offered to try it out for him, to make it sure it works and all that ;-)

I've put a pic of my son on the background and haven't worked out a way to remove it without putting another photo on it, so I thought the easiest way was to reset the device.

i hope he didn't have anything important on it like phone numbers, account numbers, passwords, etc. if he did, he won't be your friend much longer

Try this---Click "Start", "Settings", "Personal",
"Today", Then at the bottom, uncheck the box "Use this picture...", then click "OK"---perhaps this will work...
