Where did you get the file from? Does it work on your PC?

Try transfering the file without WMP. Use a card writer or Activesync and see if that works.

I've had this same problem. I tried ripping from my own CDs first using a CreativeLabs Media Manager (from an old MP3 player), and recently Cheetah Audio Converter (freeware on Cnet). Both save and play okay as Mp3s on my PC, I then copy the files, explore to my SD card using ActiveSync, then paste. The files transfer, but neither WindowsMediaPlayer nor BetaPlayer, the only two I've tried so far, will play them.
