Lost BT and WiFi icon from task bar

How do I "recover" the BT and WiFi icon that is found to the right of the taskbar at the bottom of the Today screen. Useful for me to start either function. The icons disappear after I installed several trial programs but not sure which one. Please help!

Not only can you make them reappear, but you can make them 3d icons. Check here:

They are started from two shortcuts in \Windows\Startup

BTTrayCE.lnk
WirelessIcon.lnk

Check to make sure they are both in there. If not, find the exe they both point to (should be in windows) and make a shortcut in \Windows\Startup.

I had this happen to my wifi one day. It was about a week later that I finally did a soft reset and it all came back. I am thinking it is probably smart to do a soft reset every few days. I have been trying to do them more often and I seem to have less problems.

Hmm, you manage to go a few days between soft resets! I wish I could just get through one day without the need to do a soft reset .

I did a soft reset for another problem and it came back. I think the program that cause the whole taskbar to disappear and replaced by an input method is probably clearvue which I had since deleted

Thanks! Soft reset seemed important to get things up to mark.

You should try the 3d icons, they are nice looking.
