i like to use gsplayer with my x30, though i haven't figured out the equilizer since there are no presets for it, i use the bassboost and the "surround". the memory card shouldn't make a difference in the quality of music, etc. though i use a Sandisk 1gb sd card. i think there is a program or something called x50mix that makes the x50s sound really good, but i'm not really familiar with it since i have an x30.

that may be because you have some protected wma files, and the built in windows media player is the only player i can think of for pocket pc that plays wma's.

the only way i know how to remove the protection from a wma file is to burn it to a cd, then rip it into whatever format you want, as long as it's compatible with whichever program you are using of course.
also, you can find a link for betaplayer by searching it in google.

I won't use PocketMusic again until they update it and fix the problems some people have with v3.2 locking up. I quit using PocketPlayer because the volume was tied to the system volume. I'm now using iMusic and I like it. Built-in EQ, seperate volume control, playlists, etc...
Now if I could just find a music player that will also play .MOD files. hehe
