backing up

Does the backup function save settings (like time and owner information) or just files? The manual isn't clear. If not, is there an easy way to back up settings before you hard reset?

It backs up everything unless you specify it to only backup PIM.
Note: After a hard reset the contents in built in storage will still be there. It is reccomended to reinstall programs rather than just creating shortcuts to previous installs to BIS.
