Stupid WIFI Switch

Is it just me or is the location of the WiFi switch pretty stupid? I find myself pressing that dumb switch al the time without wanting to.
Is there a way to change the functionality so you have to hold it for a sec or so before it changes?

There are 2 things you can do.

Install the Rom update (see other threads for details). If you do this you'll have to press the button twice to turn on/off wifi

and/or

remap the buttons in the settings controll tab (again there is a fairly recent thread about this)

personally i don't like the buttons and would have prefered a jog dial.. but you can't have everything

I just remapped my WIFI switch to a different button on top of the unit.

hmm odd I have A02 on and it shuts off with 1 push. but says hold for 5 seconds to turn on

did you do a restore backup after upgrading?

I have the A02 ROM update and found that now and then, the wi-fi button decides to activate Bluetooth on instead.

Manually activating/de-activating wi-fi seems to correct the button designation...strange.

The button actually activates/deactivates the last "wireless" function you had on... Be it WiFi or Bluetooth (or both).
