x50v: dots on screen from typing

has anyone else experienced this...i mean i use my axim everyday, but i take good care of it...yet i have dot marks over the screen that wont come off...which i am assuming is from typing. should this have happened? can the screen be replaced? if from typing, how come there isn't a dot for each key then?

Are you using a screen protector?

Excellent, MrKlaatu

Waves, can you actually SEE these dots when you have the X50v on?

And yes, the fade pattern is as you described, logicially determined by MrKlaatu's handy keystroke frequency pattern.

Unless, of course, you type:

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

A whole lot more than I just did, and with your stylus.

Go get a screen protector...one of the good ones (I like Boxwave, but a lot of people like some others), and the "dots" won't go away, but they'll be more "hidden" from view, and you won't add to the problem.

I'd advise against the Boxwave. They have that annoying side-bubble thing going on. My advice would be to try Brando or another reputable vendor.

I've been using the BoxWave ClearTouch for over a year now, and it's been wonderful.

Also, I do use the ClearTouch Screen protector, and I do have the "dark dots" underneath the letters I tap most frequently. I'm hoping that the dots are only on the screen protector, and not on the screen itself.

I started noticing them after about 9 months.
