The X50V is PPC of the year! woo hoo
Does any body
(there is a huge, very experienced group here)
know why the Hp VGA model didnt take the cake?
Of course i love the x50, but i understood those had a few more features, and as the 1st 2 VGA's ever, they were definatly predisposed to a show down!
has anybody used one, and if so, although it already is, why is X50V the PPC of the year?

sorry.
more specifically, the only one i thought that would give the x50 trouble was the HP iPAQ hx4705 Pocket PC

I'd also suggest that it seemed like the rags didn't like the touchpad on the 4700, and asked for HP to release a "traditional" pad second model (which they haven't done).
Consider it lucky that the 2700 model didn't get the nod. It's nearly as fast as the X30 (faster in some tests), has dual memory (SD and CF), and thumb print security built in. It's not VGA (which is a strange decision) and it has HP price points.
Toshiba had VGA well befor Dell or HP. Was it announced in Consumer Reports? That would be a rare honor.

As did Sharp, introduced in 2000 (if memory serves). ROFL on the Consumer Reports! I'll never forget the issue where they downgraded the Jeep wrangler because it had a 'jiggly' ride, did not have adequate space for hauling groceries, and was difficult to retrieve a child seat from the back seat. They should stick to reviewing toothbrushes and toasters.

Been following this stuff awhile huh? Me too! but Pocket PC's do give the best bang for the buck. I was hooked from the getgo. ;) Pocket TV played smooth videos on my Cassiopeia E-125 for goodness sake. What's not to love? :)

I certainly needed the reference, because I thought you were doubting the existance of the fingerprint reader (and making some odd reference to gummy bears)
I just wonder how desperate a person would have to be to go through all that work to make the gummy bear finger...and who'd keep that kind of data on their Pocket PC anyway.
i KNOW that there is an article about it in a magazine at my college.
i even photo copied and kept it for a while,
NOW I CANT FIND IT!
ahhh!!!
i think it was popular mechanics tho...
