Broadcom BT 1.5/1.6 stacks and "personal networking"
Is anyone sucessfully using "personal networking" after installing the Broadcom 1.5/1.6 stacks on the x50v?
I had that set up and working (providing me LAN and Net access) through by PC (wich runs the BlueSoleil software) but after the update can't get it to connect to a "personal network" no matter what I do. (Have tried deleting the shortcut, re-pairing, etc, etc.) My other BT services all work fine (ActiveSync, File Transfer, High Quality Audio). I'm also able to get it to connect to the "LAN Access" service on my PC, but not its "Personal Area Networking". At this point it really seems that something changed with 1.5/1.6 that caused it, but I'd love to hear from someone using a "personal network" connection with BlueSoleil that has the 1.5 or 1.6 stack installed.
FWIW I can basically do the same thing with "LAN Access" option in BlueSoleil and "Connect To A Network" on the x50v and but it seems to use a virtual COM port that limits things to 115200kbps whereas as I got the impression that "personal networking" was able to use more of the available BT badwidth. (being that is isn't attached to a COM port) Maybe I'm wrong?
