Decuma (Japanese/Alphabet) wm2003se temp fix
For all those people that just have to use one of the Decuma programs on wm2003se although they haven't updated yet, if you have to reset you pda and it becomes so you can't use it anymore (sips not working etc...) YOU DON'T HAVE TO HARD RESET!!! Just use gsfinder or some other file browser that can delete files that are in use and delete the offending files (2 dll files, dbm.dll(something or other, will fill in later)) from the windows folder. After a soft reset everything will be back to normal. It suck but if you're like me and have to have kanji handwrinting recognition on your vga pda, guess there's really no way around it just yet is there... BTW, where in the hell is the Japanese x50v rom??? They've already released like 3 versions of the english one, shouldn't it be out by now? Are any other language roms out yet either, or are they just being lazy and waiting for wm2005? :realmad:

1.) decuma... I've only used it on my palm hehe...
2.) for hira/kata/kanji support, you can also try monstersip
3.) there is no such thing as japanese x50v first of all, because it wasn't released to the japanese market.

Thanks...
1. That's cool. I figure since I run in true vga mode now, and all of microsoft's SIPs end up 1/4 the size, I need a third party SIP to run so it can be normal size even in true vga (which all the third party ones seem to do)
2. I don't just need the support, I need the handwriting kanji recognition. If i'm gonna buy a program i need it to be useful longterm (before upgrading I actually just used Decuma's trial, but I would like to buy now. And it's now that they don't have a version for me, silly zicorp...)
3. Please, please, please at least try to look easy things up before posting. Not a jab, just a request.

Sorry for the delay in posting which file to do what to.
K guys, for those of you that have to have Japanese handwriting recognition by any means, here's a way to get decuma up and working till they finally get 2.1 out to the public. After installing decuma there are two files that are left in the windows directory. One of them is dbmjdlib.dll. What you need to do to get your system working again is to move dbmjdlib.dll out of your windows folder into just any other folder, reset and, voila, your system works fine again. If you want decuma to come back just copy the file back into the windows directory and it will become usable again.
This is just a temp workaround and when you need to soft reset you'll always need to repeat the process. But if you need handwriting recognition like I do, it's worth it. And if anyone hears about a japanese rom update for the axim x50v, or has a japanese x50v, please pm me...

Dell seem to have finally released the Japanese ROM for the X50/X50V, available for download from the Dell's main site. Anybody has tried it yet?
