Help with onscreen keyboards

I have tried several keyboards (Resco, Topkey, Interkey) and have tried downloading them into my main memory and my BIS, but for some reason, I can't make them the default. No matter what i try, the stupid Axim default keyboard remains the default keyboard.

Any suggestions?

Well I use the spb full screen key board. Once I installed it I have to use it by selecting it from the small black arrow on the lower right corner and there is a selection of the input methods. The full screen keyboard is in that selection. The on screen keyboards you installed must be selected in the same way just click on the small black arrow in the lower right corner and see if the on screen keyboards you installed are there. :)

I have done that. I have tapped on the various keyboards. I have even gone to options and slected the various keyboards. As far as Resco, I checked "make this default input method", yet no matter what, it remains the axim default

First off, when you tap on the input arrow at the lower right, the onscreen keyboards you installed are there right? If they are then you should be able to select them as a method of input. Now if you mean that when you tap on the keyboard icon and the default keyboard comes up that is the way it is suppose te be. The input arrow is how you change you selections.

Not so, I have the Resco k/b installed, and it IS the default k/b now. I didn't have to change any settings, just did the default installation.

So when you tap on the keyboard at the bottom Resco pops up?

Well I may have to look into that Resco k/b cause spb k/b does not work like that.

Not surprised to be honest, as it's a full size k/b. Don't think I'd want it filling the screen by default. Out of interest, it's also incompatible with the Resco k/b; if selected, the ax goes back to it's default k/b. Not a surprise, I suppose, as they're rival companies!

I had a bit of trouble gettting the Resco to be default. Mainly because when I installed it, another keyboard was selected (i have a BT keyboard) and that original keyboards window is the last one to close when you're closing all the windows so that would be what came up first. What I did was select the keyboard I want as the default, then instead of closing the windows, ran memory manager and ended the other processes. Once I had it working properly once, I can now just switch keyboards using the pull up. Probably didn't explain it very well.

Lets just say with enough pissing around you can make it work the way it should.
