Here is a great thead started awhile ago about this...

For me to get this to working on my axim, I had to switch the wifi to "Work" instead of "Internet"

You don't need to set up a second wireless network. To stream tv you will need a tv tuner. There are alos some sites that do stream tv. You can try to google that.

Ok i tried the Media Encoder thing it only shows the picture in green and purple. Yes I have updated all of my video drivers. I have an old ati aiw 128 pro. Yes very old. Also tried VLC to stream my tv and nothing will show. what other options do i have.

BTW is their a way to re-encode video files i already have to make them good for ppc x50v. And is their an automation process ie it goes new video files in foleder x re-encode to folder y then sync new files to ax and remove old ones.
like that all while i sleep and i do nothing but buy my ax to bed in it cradle.

Thank you all for you help.

my ax will cause me to go poor!

I used BetaPlayer to stream compatible videos (.ogm, .avi) and mp3 audio files over WiFi from my desktop computer to my x50v. In fact, I'm listening to streamed mp3s via WiFi right now as I post this reply.

I just open up Resco File Explorer and look for my shared folder with my music, and highlight them and run them. It opens up the files using GS Player and plays them on my Axim, streaming over WiFi. :)

As far as music, I've had very good luck with SlimServer from SlimDevices running as the server. I use GSPlayer as the player.

The nice thing about SlimServer is that you can use PIE to build your playlists, etc...

No problems with network bandwidth on 802.11 and no noticable impact on my CPU on the host PC.
