I did a hard reset this morning and suddenly my switcher bar is missing and cant find it in Start - Settings - System.

Where else can I find it?

That's happened to me before and i couldn't figure it out either. I did, however, find it in Start -> Programs -> Home. If worse comes to worst i suppose you can create a new shortcut.

Switcher bar is good for nothing anyway. I'd use Magic Button (free) or Pocket Plus (not free) instead.

Regards,
Mark

If you use file explorer and copy the Switcherbar.lnk file to your Startup folder it will always be in the topbar when you soft reset. Just repeat the process after a hard reset if you don't have a backup.

Both Switcherbar.lnk and Switcherbar.exe are in your devices Windows folder. The .lnk file is the smaller of the two.
Thanks to andybrown for this tip!

Not to me. I installed it, tried it for a couple of days and uninstalled it. Switcher does what it's supposed to do without all the bells and whistles that make Magic Button unintuitive to me. Color me a Switcher fan.

That's what makes the world spin I guess.

HTH
This is true and untrue for some of us. True, Switcher Bar works correctly when copied into the Startup folder, BUT, many of us don't get the proper icon on the topbar, but only a white box. While it does function correctly, I find this to be annoying.

I placed switchebar.lnk file in the Start Menu folder instead. When I do a soft reset, Switcher does not reappear on my top bar, but it does appear in my Start list where, with one click, it reappears on the top bar WITH the correct icon.

If someone can tell me how to correct the icon problem, I would, of course, prefer to do it the suggested way.

magic button is http://www.trancreative.com/mb.aspx

if the switcher bar worked consistently, it'd be ok but i've found it to be a little wacky a little too often.
