The 9090 (AKA HTC Blue Angel, XDA III, Siemens SX-56, Audiovox PPC6601... It seems every carrier that uses it has a different name for it) is by far the best PPC Phone you're going to find available right now. That said, given the fact that I have three PPCs already, I doubt I'd really need a fourth. If you want to use this as your main PPC, it'll handle the job quite nicely (albeit with only a QVGA screen, as opposed to the VGA screen on the X50v.) I find that in general, PPC Phones are a bit unwieldly to carry around all the time compared to a relatively small phone. If you go this route, you definitely can't go wrong with that model.
I'll probably be looking for a new phone soon, and chances are I'll be getting the Audiovox SMT5600 (AKA Orange SPV) as soon as it's available on Cingular.
i'm very sorry about this thread... i looked at some spec on the 9090 and it seems that it's WAY to exspensive! and it lacks on many features... only a SD slot nothing else...

work as a phone, if possible...
is this phone/PDA, not quite to exspensive, and "weak" compared to the x50v or HP hx4700??
I would stay away from a PPC phone, main reason is that if one thing goes wrong with it and I mean anything that is, you loose everything if you have to send it in for repair. Your contacts, notes, memos, movies, music and the list goes on. The purpose of a cell phone is just that a phone. If I lose or drop my phone(which happens often in this world) and it breaks I still have my x50 with a list of my contacts and various other important info. I have a coworker who got stranded and had to walk 2 miles to call his wife and a tow truck cause he used up his battery showing off at work watching movies and playing video poker. Do yourself a favor and get a nice cheap cell phone and stay with your x50v and you will be alright. :approve:
Here in the US, a number of carriers offer this one (Sprint and Verizon offer a CDMA version, Cingular a GSM version) for US$549, with discounts for carrier agreements. It's a nice PPC phone, but not quite that nice.
And Expansys has it for DKK5,329(715Euro, 925.67 USD), which would presumably get you an unlocked model. Still expensive as all get out, but less than the price you have.
I don't like these phone and ppc integrations. Sony has completely abandoned the north american PDA market, because they "have phones that can do the same thing as a pda", while in japan their still releasing their ever popular clie.
I use the Sony Ericsson T630 and thats already too much, now for my pda I use the Clie which will very soon be replaced with the x50v (slow del delivery).
I think they are jumping the gun with phone and ppc integration. There just isn't enough baterry life for both and they usualy end up looking mutant.
