Resco Photo Viewer Bundled with Axim x50 V:
On the Dell Companion disk all the included software gives me a choice to buy or try except for Resco Photo Viewer, It offers choice to Install only. I have also read others saying that Dell comes with full version, yet when I install it says 30 Day Trial?
What's the Dealio? I am confused.
X50v is Awesome Hardware but included Software bundle is virtually non existant in comaprison to Ipaq's
Thanks

It is a special full version for the Axim.
Basically you just need to install it and it will work as though it was a full version. It says 30 day trial but it also says registered.
The only problem with it is if you want to upgrade then you need to buy the next version at 1/2 price. See the Resco website, there is a special link for axim users.
Cheers
Adrian
PS. Spend some of the money you saved on buying an X50v rather than an IPAQ Hx4150 on the software you really want. I think the Axim still works out cheeper.

I think so...
It looks fine and it is not blocky like a QVGA program in VGA. It is Version 5, which is the latest major release. But not v5.20 which is the current one. I don't recall it displaying a message that the program was not built for VGA devices when I installed it.
Cheers
Adrian

I see that v5.30 has just been released! It's $19.96 at the moment, so if we can get it at 1/2 price, that wouldn't be a bad upgrade offer :)

Ah, it appears that we only get the 40% off the original price, so for Dell users, it still works out at (a reasonable) $14.96 - unless you live in Europe, where one has to pay tax - 21% in my case
