Too Late?

I know posting this here warrants a beating :hide:, but I kinda wanted to know if it was... you know... a bit late to jump on the bandwagon and buy an X50v. Do you think it's reached the peak of its life? Is a new model coming out soon? Or should I take the 15% off dell is offering? (Maybe as a clearance sale?)

I know, too many questions.

I just bought one a few weeks ago and I believe that it will reamin on top for a while. No words of a new device so far.

Even if a new one came along in 6 months, think how much fun you'd have in 6 months. The bigger that band wagon gets the better this site is, the more we help each other and ultimately the more fun it is.

I just got my x50v last week and I think it's just awesome so far, especially the screen, really exceeded my expectations.

But then again, I haven't really done much with it yet other than view pictures, play music and browse the internet a bit.

I can see this lasting me at least a year, probably longer.

In true VGA mode, it's still better than Sony's new PSP, so go for it.

I just upgraded from an x30h to an x50v, the x30h was only purchased last August :)

Just do what I did and upgrade in 6 months, it's more fun that way :approve:

It's not too late at all. According to this post:

WOW.. I got mine 2 weeks ago.. Nice device.. very pleased with it..

You cant always wait for the next thing. Say you did all this research into this vs HP vs Toshiba vs Asus etc.. Well if a new devices comes out then you will be at it all over again. then a new one will be scheduled to release. where will it end..

Where do some of you ppl work?? With many comments on many threads about if a new one comes out get that one too. At $715 just for this one. Price varies for each person but where do you get an additional $700+ for the newest greatest thing. must be nice to bask in the money..

Im hoping to get a few years out of it..

Well, in my case I justified the cost of the new one by saying that I could sell the old one on eBay for xx amount and therefore the new one only cost me about £100 GBP to upgrade, although I still haven't gotten around to selling the old one yet, but I'm waiting for Dell UK to stop there current offer and hopefully I'll get a better price, apart from that, credit cards come in extremely useful :approve:
