Appt. a week in future shows up in Today

I have an Axim X50v with the standard Today Screen and PI 5.6.1.0178 and I am wondering where the trigger is that I can adjust an appt. I have an appt. set for 4/5 at 7PM, today is 3/31, and it is showing up on my Today Screen already. Is there a notification time somewhere in all the settings that I can adjust? Thanks in advance.

There is an option to display "Next appointment" or "Upcoming appointments." Tap on Start - Setting - Today - Items (tab). Highlight "Calendar" and tap on "Options." Here you can make the adjustments.

Found that. Since I am just starting things out, that happens to be my next appt. In my calendar, daily saving time is marked for next Sunday. Will that appear on the Today Screen or is it just appts? Thanks for all your help.

I am not sure since I use a Today plugin for my calendar, but I don't remember seeing it on the Today screen.

It will show the next upcoming appointment, no matter how far out it is, so yes that is normal. As for Daylight savings, if you have it as an appoinment, or an all day event ( and have the check mark in options to show all day events) then yes it will show up. :) Other that that, I don't believe it will.
