Exclamation Life is good! A brand new axim in hand.

Well, last Friday I ordered myself the axim x50v. I also ordered myself a Sena case Friday night. Then on Saturday I ordered a 1 gb Lexar SD card from Newegg.com ($79, free shipping, no tax). Had previously ordered a Brando screen protector that came a while ago. Anyways, everything came in yesterday (Wednesday). On the way home picked up the the Axim from UPS. Checked my mail box when I got home, there was the Sena case. Then on my door was a fedex notice that I could pick up my SD card from their wharehouse, which I promptly did.

So, everything is complete, have the pda with screen protector on and SD card installed and sitting in a beautiful Sena case.
It's beautiful!!!
Going to spend the next couple of weeks just trying out different programs. Then when I find the ones I like will do a hard reset and install the ones I want to use.
It also came with AO2 ROM update, one less thing I have to worry about.

you must be one of the very blessed! I ordered my x50v last Wednesday, order expected to be delivered today, but I got a "delay" message last nite with an expected delivery date of next Wednesday.....I have however, received the leather case that I ordered. I should have broken up the order like you did. see the "revolt" thread in this forum. It made me feel better after haunting Dell all day today for answers-----there aren't any answers that logical people can accept. keep posting oh blessed one. I will follow your trials and tribulations, and learn from those that have gone before! :approve:

Nice, very smart getting everything at once.
I got my x50v last week but do not have a case nor a screen protector yet, so I'm limiting my usage of it. Basically decided on the Brando ultraclear. The only thing keeping me from ordering it right now is that I want to save on shipping, so I'm trying to decide between the Brando metal case or the Innopocket Mag case.

I have to push you toward the Innopocket Mag case. Lite, Slick looking, sturdy, and just flat out awsome. Great customer support too. Heck since I got the early batch of the cases (the ones that didnt quite fit right and chip a bit of paint) i still love it but their sending me a new one Fedex and said not to bother in returning this old one lol. I definiately recommend them.

I would like to see what ou think of youe New Egg purchase when you get it, could you PM me and let me know. I have never purchased from them and am leery of almost all on line purchases until someone I know has experienced with them. I know New Egg has been around the block a time or two, just a cautious guy.

Also, I have had my Ax x50v about a week now and you stated your came with the A02 ROM update, mine came wit hthe A01 ROM?

I wonder if I can contact them and ask why, probably will not matter at this time. I have not had any problems with mine at all, although I did notice that it sometimes it will not shut off when I press the button, it takes the two minutes or so for it to finally go down. I have a feeling this is something I have changed in the settings when I browsed the power settings but it appears fine, it just will not maunally shut down. Will the ROM uopdate solve this? Its no big deal to me, it ends up shutting down soon anyway, so I am not losing any major battery life, but it is a problem. I guess my question is, is the ROM update essential?

Congrats on your buy and welcome! So far, this is the board to go to when your in need, there are a lot of great people here who all seem ready enough to help and I dont have to wait three days for a post, PLUS it comes straight to me, I dont have to log back on! I LOVE IT!

I received my X50V yesterday also. I got it with RhinoSkin case, Kingston 1GB Compact Flash card. So far, it's just great. Before this one, we bought an X50 mid for my girlfriend, I was already amazed with that one but when I saw the graphics on the X50v, I knew I made the right choice... Very happy so far... :)

Newegg is one of the fastest and best of the computer mailorder companies out there. I have been ordering from them for years and have never had the slightest problems. I don't think I have heard of anyone ever having problems with them. I'm sure there must be some out there but its probably pretty rare.

Jata,
Life is indeed good, as long as you have an X50V!
I have had my X50V for only a couple of months but it is my constant companion. It goes everywhere with me. I would be lost without it now.
