I have been looking for a PPC for quite a while now but haven't been really excited about them until I saw the Axim X50V. I found this forum through a link on the Notebook Forums website and have been reading all about the x50V's for the last few days. Well I chatted with Dell and got a $35.00 concession coupon, found another coupon for %20 off an Axim (ends tonight) so with the two of them I just ordered the Axim X50V with the extended battery, 3-year warranty and Complete Care. Now I just have to wait until it gets here! :rolling:
I am hoping that I am in the % of users that won't blow up a USB port, have to reset the screen every 10 minutes and so on.
Thanks to all of you who have posted as it's really helped me make my decision.
Welcome to the site! Odds are you'll have an awesome unit and will be more likely to suffer user issues than hardware issues. I know that;s the case for me. Keep coming back--this is an awesome site!
welcome to the site. Enjoy your new "friend" as you will be spending a lot of time with it. It is very cool.
Lots to learn though.

how did you talk to dell for that 35 coupon? i am searching around for coupons too, the only one i can find is that 20% off. wish i can find another one.
Do yourself a favor...when your new baby arrives load up Betaplayer and download the 640 x 480 Matrix trailer from the site at the same time....behold the power of the Ax! Even my 10 year old said it looked better then on my new 30" LCD..not sure if that made me feel good or bad :)
Orbitz thanks for the idea... when ups comes tomorrow my SD card would be loaded with it and ready to install as the battery charges ^_^
And yes... remember only the people with problems come here. Okay, not really true, my X5 adv was perfect but the majority of the people here have weird problems that need solving. *crosses fingers* that cradle better not blow out my usb ports!

www.stingybastard.com , I got mine there, I also rec'd a decent one from Dell in an email today, you have to spend a good chunk of change, 350.00 to use it but if you plan on making a big purchase PM me and I will send you the code. :approve:
