Question Command line/Shortcut to turn the backlight off?

I'd like to make a shortcut to turning the backlight off.

I'd like to dothis using either remapping a button, or through touching an ICON on screen.

I can create a shortcut to registered apps and stuff, but the backlight dim to zero is not in the list. I'm sure it is possible.

Some help peeps?

Thanks,

Edblor

Hold (don't press) the power button.

Oh,

I know of that...but I am looking for something a tad quicker than holding a button.

Something along the lines of a single button press...or icon tap!

If you want to turn off the screen (not just the backlight), download Screen Off and copy it somewhere under the start menu.

You can then assign a program button to turn off the screen and backlight (to turn them back on, just hit the power button).
