X50v always forgets WEP key after soft reset.

I have a WiFi connection at home w/WEP enabled. Every time I reset my X50v, it asks for the WEP key. It seems that it does not save the password to somewhere...

Is it a common bug? Does anybody have the same experience?

to aximsite!

No, it's not a bug, you have to set the WEP in the profile.

Turn wireless on.

Go to Start -> Settings -> Connections tab -> Wlan Utility -> Setting.

Tap on your SSID, then Network Key tab. Select WEP for Data Encryption drop down menu. Uncheck the box that says "The Key is provided for me automatically" and enter the network key. When done, click ok.

I have the same problem. I also have MovianVPN installed on my x50v. How did you find out that the problem was due to movianvpn? I had movianvpn installed on my previous Toshiba e800 without this issue.

MovianVPN also overwrite the bluetooth stack as well, making it impossible to use dial-up networking with cell phone. It's the only VPN out there that supports Nortel, so we are at their mercy.

PS. There's also Apani VPN, this thing not only overwrites bluetooth, but also the whole wireless lan utility.....and I mean the WHOLE WIRELESS LAN UTILITY. Something to watch out for.
