Brand new - Sync'ing?

Newbie here!! Just received my Axim x50mid and have it charging in the cradle. Woo Hoo! But here is the question - I know I need to let it charge for 8 hours, however, can i have it sync'd and begin loading updates and files while it is charging? Or should I leave it off, pretend i have not received it yet, and leave the house to resist the urge to play with it? I am positive this is the first of many questions in the very near future!! thank you

Definitely leave it charging for the full eight hours to avoid any problems. It is o.k. to use it in the cradle, however. You can update the ROM, if needed, download apps, try out the wifi, etc.

As long as it is in the cradle and charging you can install, delete, move data to it.
