Clock keeps setting itself ahead 3 hrs?!

My X50 fairly recently started pushing its clock ahead 3 hrs for no apparent reason. I've gone into setup and corrected the time as well as made sure its set to the correct time zone. The new settings will take effect, and after turning it on and off a few times its back to being 3 hrs ahead.

any ideas?
Tried soft resets and no luck...are we looking at a hard reset?

thanks

You need to confirm the timezones on BOTH the PPC and the PC(s).

When you say turning it on and off a few times, are you syncing during those times? Or can you literally just set the time, turn it on and off a few times and it'll change?

Just a thought - may be off base, but I've seen this when your PPC doesn't match the time zone of your PC. - But then you've probably checked that 'eh!

HTH.

Yea, samething happened to me. Everytime I sync with my laptop, the clock goes up 3 hours. Apparently both PPC and laptop have to have the same timezone settings.

If you're on the East Coast of the US that's GMT -5 on both the PC and PPC.

Sure enough, I have recently replaced the hard drive on my desktop PC and never checked the time zone setting.

Thanks for the quick help everyone.
