How to disable "Recent Programs" in Start Menu?

It is annoying to keep such a long list.....

I agree. I have not found a way to disable this, but Tweaks2k2\System Tricks has a "Clear Recent Prog. List" function.

Unfortunaltely this list then builds ip again so you have to go back to Tweaks2k2. Not very satisfactory. I would like to clear it permanently.

You guys may not want to try 3rd party software, but I use WISBar Advance and it allows in its settings to enable/disable listing of recently used programs. While I am on that...it has tons of other features too.

Only use landscape view. The recently used program list doesn't show up when you use it.
