Scroll Wheel or Similar on X50
I finally got my X50low after a excruciating wait for Dell to ship it over. I love my new toy...ummm tool actually.
As much as I love my Axim, I really missed a critical point in my purchasing criterea...a scroll wheel.
I enjoy reading eBooks a lot and sorely miss a scroll wheel. I even configured the BT and Memo buttons to act as page up and page down...but they are hard to access often.
Any good ideas of some software that can scroll the page automatically at a defined interval...like some desktop eBook readers??

Mobipocket Reader Pro does. Love that feature.
BTW, you can download the free version and for a short period of time (14 days?) you have the use all the features of a full version.

You can also remap the side buttons (radio and record buttons) to be scroll buttons. Works similar to a scroll wheel.

EReader also has an auto scroll feature, but I don't use it. I mapped the D-button to scrol up and down and it works pretty nicely.

One of the reasons I skipped this upgrade. Hopefully the new Axims with WM2005 later this year will include a scroll wheel again.
X300v anyone? :approve:

Two flash card slots, ir, wifi, bluetooth, standard controls, headphone jack, mic AND a scroll wheel is alot to squeeze into a unit.

I can live without the soon-to-be-obsolete CF card format

Thanks all for the great suggestions.
CalgaryCowboy...it makes me wonder too why Dell left out a great feature when they could implement so many other great things. :realmad:

Compact Flash wont be going obsolete anytime soon. With 6 GB Microdrives available now and with 8 and 10 GB drives coming soon, it's not going to happen.
Theres also way more devices that use Compact Flash. Such as; Network Cards, Modems, USB Host Adaptors, Digital Cameras, GPS Navigation Systems, Cell Phone Cards, Wifi Cards, Bluetooth Cards, TV Tuners etc.
SD cards max out at 2 GB and cost more than a 4 GB microdrive. Not much in terms of devices either, just Wifi and Bluetooth cards. I haven't seen anything else.
You would have enough storage for programs if you had a high capacity compact flash microdrive.
