the money spent on the axim was not for the paint on the power button. mine performed like yours. the other features included by dell seem to work much better.
i learned to not notice the poor paint.
enjoy!

Isn't it painted from inside? - well I guess not , but I haven't recognized it before...
note to myself: to be more carefull with this.
Does the button look transparent now ?

I have also noticed that the paint work on the X50v's power button is no where near as good as that of the X5. I noticed that the first time I charged my Axim.

I is transparently UGLY now. I would presume this is not included in the warranty. Ill guess ill just buy a sticker to cover it up (bright orange charging is annoying)

You know , I had this tungsten E once, it needed its screen to be replaced so I sent it to P1 labs. It returned w/ buttons replaced also - no questions asked (they were prety scratched)
Look you still paid ~ 400$ for this thing( axim I mean ), it's an expansive piece of electronics,
i would ask dell's support if there is a warranty coverage for this issue. Maybe they do cover it, you never know.

Right, and Dell send you back a little paint tube to repaint it yourself :approve:

Well let me think. NO
but maybe when something else goes wrong they would replace the whole button as well, or maybe this dude lives nearby a dell's lab, or maybe.... they wild send him a new unit.
do you know the answer for the question? no . does it hurt to ask ? no.
So, why do you delegitimize my answer?
