For those that moved from HP to Dell

I used to own an HP H2210 my 3rd model from them (which has now been passed on to the wife) after HP left me hanging out to dry with no upgrade to WM2003se and deciding to deem the 2210 obsolete after it being on the market for a full 13 months or so :rolling: , I decided to give them the boot and buy a Dell X50v.
Best choice I have evr made, the X50v rocks and this site rocks too, I used to be a Brighthand member but that has changed also
Anyways I have found that both AC and DC chargers for the 2210 work for the X50v, the round plug is the same. :approve:

To bad I cannot use the Seidio mount from the 2210 with the X50. Guess i can't win them all.

I'm also a HP convert. Handspring > Audiovox > HP h1920 > HP h4150 > DELL AXIM X50v.

HP4700 was too big and cost a boat load. For less money--you could say I got "more" PDA with the X50v.

I love it and can't ever go back to a non-VGA device.

All I miss from my HP2215 is Nevo and whatever the heck their Audio chip was. It got deeper bass than whatever Dell uses. Aside from that no issues.

In the same boat as you. I was a great supporter of HP right from the days of Jornada. Their new line of PDAs were generally disappointing. The X50v offer from Dell could not have come at a better time. I miss my 2210 though.
Came to this site after I bought the X50v. A wonderful and great site. Saved me a lot of hassle with all the excellent tips and tricks. I must add that much sleep was lost as I could not get myself away from reading the forums (excellent information and humour).

I had the hp 2210 for a whole week before ordering the axim. A coworker had the axim and I was envious. I gave my boyfriend the 2210 but I do miss the nevo. I had fun messing with the tvs at work hehe

Welcome!

Have you tried SM50 MIx? It really improves the sound. You can find more info here-

BTW- I have read here (don't know the thread) that the x50v has the same sound chip as the Ipod!
:) :)

I came form a 2215 as well and find this true (even with the x50mix app). I'm currently in possesion of my x50v and an hp4150 and the 4150 sound blows away the x50v. No matter to me anymore, however, as I now have a Dell DJ 20 gb MP3 player.

Anyway, the x50v screen and speed more than makes up for it.

No doubt about that. The screen and speed are a more important to me. How's the Bass on the Dell DJ?
