Can't uninstall MultiIE

Hi,

Tried MultiIE 'cos I wanted tabbed browsing. However, it used up quite a lot of memory with a few tabs open, so I want to uninstall it.

However, I can't uninstall it as the MultiIE file is "In use."

Well it isn't in use. I've done the "Close all Programmes" routine and a soft reset.

Can anyone advise how I can get this muck off the bottom of my shoe?!

Thanks

Martin

You have to stop it before you uninstall it. Click on the about tab.

Which one are you going to try next?

Sorry for replying to my own post.

I was able to terminate the process using Memmaid, then delete MultiIE.

Regards

I didn't have the actual programme running, but it loads a process at startup. I killed it with Memmaid then uninstalled it okay.

I don't know what to try next, but MultiIE was gobbling up quite a lot more memory with each tab it opened...

Regards

That's what I like about Windows products. So many ways to do anything. ;)

Anyway next one you try at least glance at the instructions. j/k :)

ftxpbrowser is a freeware project from the PPC2002 days. Although a lot of the functions that worked then don't work now the tab system works fine.

Read the instructions! That's a bit urgent :)

Yes, I'd forgotten about ftx - I used to have it my iPAQ 2210 now I think about. I'll give it another whirl.

Are you using MultiIE?

Do you get the rather large memory gobble with each new tab opened?

Thanks for the reminder about ftx.

Yeah I use multiIE. I can't say i really noticed it bacause I wasn't looking for it. I can either stream or play music while I'm surfing without any problems so it's never been an issue.
