well i ordered it today and the guy said i have till tommorrow if i wanna cancel but the thing is i hear rumers about axim getin a hard drive and a smart phone in the next generation so that is what realy makes me think and thx anyways but dell might not get the 2005 upgrade
Dude, No offence... if you wait that long for the next model.... then you don't need a PDA in the first place, It clearly shows that you have no use for it dude. If have the need to use one then you should buy it now... right now... cheers.. hope this helps...
Buy now or wait? I decided to buy now. Here's why:
1.) I'll have to wait until WM2005 (Magneto) is released
2.) I'll have to wait until Dell releases its new Axim model
3.) I'll have to wait for a KILLER deal on the Axim (got this one for $344 shipped and CA 8.25% taxed w/ free 1100 battery).
If the new model comes out and Dell doesn't offer an update, I'll think about upgrading depending on the new features. I'll sell a good time in advance on eBay and score the new model for cheap. :)
I was in exaclty the same situation when i bought my Palm.. Do i buy one now or hold on for a PalmOS 6 device that was only a few months away...
Well I got a good deal on the palm and definatley got my moneys worth out of it. And PalmOS6 is still a few months away. Not that it bothers me anymore. Since I've jumped ship.
If you need one... get one. There is always something better just around the corner. But just beacause something new comes out it doesn't stop your current hardware working. There's loads of people here still using X3 and X5 Axims... Lots of people still use Palm0S 4 and are still getting good value
(of course the really clever ones are using EPOC but thats another story)

you need to wait a long time because the 2005 will be release in sumer time ans as i know microsoft better wait till seconf edition and Dell will came with X 999999999999 model till the 2005 will work.
I don't think there has been any real info out yet about any new Dell models. And there is always going to be something better within a year. I would not cancel it.
