Buying 50v without game CD, is Game CD worth extra $20?

looking at buying a 50v and selling my 50 mid.
I can buy 50v with or without the Game CD at Dell's Outlet.
They want $20 for the CD...is the CD really worth it?

Enigmo is addictive. The car game isn't so much fun.

Agree. Both games are worth $10 each in my opinion. Glad I didn't pay extra though. The built in pad & buttons are hard to use in a driving game.

No one can answer that question.

Have I gotten $20 worth of fun out of Enigmo? Yeah, I guess I have. But my definition of fun is gonna be different than yours and the value of $20 to me is different than it is to you. So, was it worth it? Sure.

Keep in mind, my CD was free with purchase.

And, if I was in the same boat as you, I wouldn't spend the money. I'd look for demo versions of each game (if there is such a thing) and try them out.

If there isn't a demo, I'm of the opinion not to buy. My opinion - Gotta be something wrong with the software if a software developer doesn't let you test drive an application before you buy.

You are right,...and no,...I wouldn't spend the $20.
I guess what I should have asked is whether they were excellent games,..thinking of my son when he borrows my pda.

Try the demos and if you like them buy it, if not, get Morphgear. If you like old NES, SNES, Genesis, etc. that is.

i got the game cd free with my order as well .. installed it, but never tried it more than 5 mins each .. haven't installed it since i updated the rom to a02. if it didn't come free, i would not have purchased it separately. i haven't even played the atari retro games past 5 mins. (it is currently sitting in the sd slot on my innopocket for lack of a better place to store it).

is it worth the $20? in my opinion, no .. it was amusing enuf to play solitaire on the trainride to work .. :P

however, a pretty good FREE game i got from a link on aximsite was High Noon Drifter - Dead Man's Gultch. The price is right =).

PocketSNES is also a good one to try .. but for SNES games only.

maddmatt: have you tried PocketSNES? if u have, how is it compared to MorphGear? and are you using the a03 rom in conjunction with the morphgear? i've read the PocketSNES thread here, but found it utterly confusing about all the timing stuff, i am a beginner at best and it got way too technical for me =)

any input would be greatly appreciated.

I actually removed the game cd from my order this morning. Although I may be gaming with my x50 in the future, I do not see any reason to purchase the game if I may not like it. The deal that I bought my unit with had the game cd at a discount but I was still paying a portion of cost.

Good Decision.

I got both games free but would not have paid for them. Much better to spend your 20 on pocket plus, or Age of empires if you want a game.

I don't play either one of the games. Thankfully the CD was free and I didn't waste $20 on it.
