Thanks all for checking....

I reinstalled A03 and same problem.
Does anyone have any idea what I could be in for if I call Dell tech support as far as options (replacement??), timeframe or general suggestions?

Thanks,

Dave

Just ring Dell and ask them what the options are.

So it seems the notes just disappear... without an activesync or anything else. Very very strange... I will see wha happens on mine and keep you posted.

Good luck

Went through and checked notes on mine(I put class assigments there) and all of them showed up. I did the A03 update and it synced all of the appoinments and tasks without a problem. Could be anything from a corrupted part of the disk to a small spike in power while transferring(even battery backups and powerstrips have fluctuations). Never know with electronics.

Many thanks all...
Spoke with Dell and they didn't do anything which is totally expected. Just wanted to log my vote for them to have a look at for future patch.

Until then A02, not a big deal really.

Thanks again,

Dave

Notes lost this morning and appts. off by an hour

I just noticed several of my notes were gone from appointments this morning. They returned after a soft reset. And I don't know if this is related, but my entire calendar is off by one hour. Everything is one hour later than what I put in. The soft reset does not remedy this. I don't know if this is related to the notes in the appointments or not, but I noticed both for the first time this morning.

Anything new on this? Any suggestions for this noob?

Hi,

Yep, sounds like similar problem to me, with the exception of calendar being off by 1 hr. Soft reset brought my notes back - hmmm. Appointment notes are critical to my processes so can't use A03. Dell tech support wasn't aware of problem as far as I could tell on phone yesterday.

Please let me know any developments.

Thanks,

Dave

Yes. I can't function without appt. notes, either. It also is killing my Contacts notes, which is even worse. They come back on reset, but disappear soon after.

Sorry to hear about contact notes, haven't tested yet but will do. If you haven't done so, would you mind to log issue with Dell so issue will possibly be rectified, possibly A04?

Thanks,

Dave

OK. My notes in COntacts and Calendar disappear everytime I use the Switcher Bar. That much I have figured out. Other than that, no solution, yet.

Well, after one hour of chat and one hour of phone support (and numerous soft and hard resets), Dell is sending a new X50. They say this is a new one to them. I know I'm not upgrading to A03 on the next one until I know this is not happening anymore. AARRGGHHH!!!

Wow - sounds like been around the bend with Dell. YIKES!
Please let me know how your new one is rlorente.

Did they suggest A02 revert?

They said they would let me know if it was a03 or not. I actually found a helpful guy and I have his email. He said he was going to look into it. We'll see. But in my case, it is definitely the Switcher Bar that does it. I used the thing for two hours without turning on the Switcher Bar and my notes stayed put.

I also realized that when ever I tried to edit my notes under task, the input would default to letter recognizer although I have set it for keyboard. Also when I type the screen will not respond but after exiting the task and re-entering, I see all the letters that I had typed.
