Icons disappearing after A03

After upgrading to A03, when I do a soft reset, all the icons of applications installed on my SD card disappear. If I go to the menu options and turn off and on an application, they reappear. What gives? Anyone had a problem like this and was able to fix it?

did you do a restore from backup after upgrading to A03 or did you reinstall all your apps manually?

i reinstalled all my apps manually after flashing to A03 and do not experience the problem that you have

maybe if you don't hear any better ideas here, hard reset and reinstall all your apps manually

I did a reinstall, not backup. Same programs installed as last time but moved some to SD card. All the programs from SD card have generic icons in the Start Menu.

Did you maybe swap SD cards? I keep all of my games on one SD card and all my music on another one. If I soft-reset with the music card in then all of my game icons disappear from the start menu.

Nope, don't take the sd card out at all... Maps and apps are on SD card and music is on a microdrive.

I get this too but in a different way. Just switching off then on and I don’t get pocketweather icons on the today screen. Loading an app then going back to the today screen forces a refresh, thus I get the icons back. It seems the new ROM upgrade is not allowing the OS enough time to pull icon data from the SD card?

I got the same thing with weatherpanel. Maybe it's a weatherpanel issue?...

Disppearing icons? Hmm ... wonder if it's related to the problems I was having with A03. After installing it I noticed the scroll-arrows were white foreground instead of black and combo boxes no longer showed the drop-down arrow. I manually installed everthing then. I didn't find A03 to run any faster or better so I retooled back to A02 and all is fine.

I think I'm done doing flash updates - it it ain't broke I'm not going to waste time fixing it anymore!
