Hmm How to improve video playback

Hey I found that if I downloaded beta player it will recognize my xvid files that i downloaded. However when I play it on my ppc X5 it does not play smoothly, it keeps buffering and it is rather annoying, do you know how i can resolve this? thanks a bunch....

It's also a problem of mine.
Watch betaplayer site and download a video test, then try a benchmark and watch what is your speed in Mbit\s over wifi.
Use betaplayer 0.5 stable and disable wifi power saving.

Then, let me know your results...

Hello,

I had the same problem using BetaPlayer. I tried PocketTV and everything is smooth and clean :)

Unfortunately, no.. Pockettv only plays .mpeg format.

I'm trying to find an app that will play .avi, .asf, .wmv (which is the only format viewable on Windows Media Player 10 for PPC), and maybe .qt.

I've read some other threads about PocketXVID (or PocketDIVX, can't remember ), so I'm going to try it soon.

As of now, doesn't Betaplayer (or TMCPEROMCOIWEROJP, lol) play the most types of files?

Betaplayer plays .asf, .wma, .avi, .mp4, .mkv, .ogg, .mpc (with plug-in), .wav, .mp1,2,3, .aac (with plug-in), .mpeg, and mpg. Plus a few other ones, isn't that enough? Well I can understand .qt, but it plays almost anything else and Picard is working on .wmv too.

More specifically MPEG1, not MPEG2.
