What kind of problems are you having with A03?

A few days ago a made a poll divided up by hardware revision numbers where people could vote if they were happy or not with the A03 ROM updtate. I noticed that a few people voted that they weren't happy with the update (especially people with the A04 hardware revision) and I was wondering what it is exactly that they weren't happy with. So if any of you who upgraded to A03 aren't happy, could you please explain why? (as well as give your hardware revision number) Thanks!

David

Having some issues with what appears to be a corrupt "Tasks" DB...it shows 8 tasks on my "Today" screen - but nothing lists when I open Tasks.

Not sure if this related to the A03 - but it started after I flashed and reinstalled/restored PIM...

Other then that I see improvment in battery life;)

No problems :) lot more stable (no resets all the time with BT!)
Seems to be slightly faster (probably because there is more memory as the BT bug was fixed).
Wifi/BT is a lot faster to load to.

< happy :)

You guys should include your hardware revision number with your comments on this thread. If you take out your battery you'll find it on the label underneath.

I installed A03 on my unit (hardware config:A03) and the notes in my task does not respond when I try to type a message. Also my existing task will not show the notes unless I do soft reset everytime.

Need help.

I'm still running A02 and I have NO problems at all. Everything works great. *knock on wood* Until I find a *very* good reason to upgrade to A03 (like 50% better battery life) I'll probably stick around with A02 for a while.

Hardware rev A01. A03 ROM update is working fine for me. bt/wifi is much better. Battery life is better.

I have found that notes in calendar and contacts are not working properly. The notes disapear after using the switcher bar to exit calender, contacts or exit all programs while not cradled. No additional notes can be added or edited, but return after a soft reset.

I contacted Dell about this issue.

After spending hours with Dell about this issue, they have had me do numerous soft and hard resets, attempt to reload A03, etc, etc, etc, all no avail. Same issue with a empty calendar and contacts list. I am waiting to see what will be next.
Other than this I am happy.

Jeff

Hardware Rev A01.

Staying with A02 ROM - A03 caused some problems with the GUI (some missing User-Interface elements). No more upgrades for me unless they double battery life or something!

Hardware rev. A02
Rom A03

I am currently running SPB PPlus, WB A2 and everything working great. WiFi working a lot better, plus the range increased even though I'm using power save.
Well worth the update.

Wifi speed and install time are slightly faster. I also notice that the volume is louder with the external speaker.

Hardware A00. Firmware A03 works great. Battery life is better, overall system feels faster, and no more BT/WiFi error messages requiring soft resets to get BT or WiFi to work. Very happy camper here.
