My PIE seems to have slowed down.

Curious! Did you all reinstall apps from scratch of did you restore from backup. Have had reports of problems where people have restored from backup.

General use is a lot faster.. Avantgo and mobipocket are quicker and less freezing when switching between programs

Mine is considerably faster. I wish that I had taken A02 benchmarks to compare to A03, but I didn't. I do not use PIE.

Everything is faster for me. Some of my programs stored in BIS (TextMaker, PlanMaker, etc) that used to launch very slowly now launch more quickly. I also seem to get faster responses when tapping through settings menus too.

OK I agree, loading is faster.

I also think the screen alignment is better (A02 I used to tap the wrong letter on the keyboard occasionally).

Still doesn't release all the memory when some programs close though... but that is being picky...

Gobadgrs, try a soft reset once everything is set up the way you like it.

Cheers

I'd recommend that if your getting a performance prob with A03, consider Hard resetting and reinstalling your apps manually. If this does not fix things, you can always revert back to A02 and restore from your previous backup.
Although some people have had success through restoring after A03, it's probably luck. Everyone runs different apps and theres no guarentee what apps can be restored OK.
I believe A03 is worth the trouble, as for me its been the best update to date. Increased stability and battery life. (Cannot comment on speed as I reloaded apps which would have helped anyway)
Theres also been quite a lot of positive talk about A03 so I beleive users suffering probs are in the minority.

My X50v is so slow loading and surfing that it is painful to use! I will hard reset and load all programs individually and fresh (not using sync reinstall). I am hoping that will solve my problem.

Power Save was the problem.

I read the posts which said that the new ROM update was great, so decided to take the plunge last Sun nite. Really was sort of ho-hum about improvements until I read the quoted post by rsaturn9 re: disabling Power Save. THAT DID THE TRICK! My Axim is much faster now :approve:

THANKS for your great insight and experience rsaturn9 :approve:
