I am struggling with this one aswell. I also live in the UK and the Regional Settings do not give DDDD,DD,MMMM,YYYY as an option. My interim solution is to set the regional Settings to English (Trinidad) which at least has the 'Correct' date format of dd,mmmm, yyyy and NOT the USA format. I have PHM Registry Editor but have note found the HKEY to change. Can anyone help please??

The key and instructions are in the link posted above by dyn0. Follow the link and read the second post. Note that you must pay particular attention to capitalization when applying this regedit.

DoDoubleGeo,
Many thanks, it works. For others who want to try this there are a couple of clarifications required:
HKLM means HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
the key name to add is 'SLDte' NOT 'SLDate'
I added 'dddd, dd MMMM yyyy' NOT 'dddd, d MMMM yyyy'
Microsoft need to get their operating system in order!
