Go to Start - Settings - Today - Items and make sure "Date" is checked.

Mine has the date checked and shows under the top bar. The time on mine is displayed above that to the right. I think this is because of Pocket Informant oe Pocket Breeze, though.

Go to Start>Settings>System>Regional Settings>Date
There's a drop-down box next to "Long Date" - change this to the option where it has "dddd, MMMM dd, yyyy" and it should give you what you want...

@Rudy
You mean like this, but with the day of the week (Mon, Tue, etc)?
I don't think it's possible

I have UK regional settings and only have the following options for long date.
dd MMMM yyyy
d MMMM yyyy
Would love to see eg. "Wednesday 04 May 2005" on the home screen instead of just "04 May 2005".
Not sure I want all this info on the Start Bar though.
Anyone know of a reg fix or config soloution for this, or is it a new Today screen plugin. (Don't really want to add more plugins though)

LOL. Im English so want the UK date format.
Day, Month, Year.
Month, Day, Year seems a bit weird to me. ;)
It does however display the Day in the today screen though.
£££ Don't think I can give up the GBP for USD though. £££
Its all Microsoft's Fault......

Cool,
Which option did you use, registry change or this
"you don't need to mess with the registry, you can choose a different
country in Regional settings- I use Australia- this allows the long
date- then edit the currency symbol to the £ symbol".
I tried the latter but could not find the £ symbol.

Registry!
I have Resco Explorer which allows me to edit the registry.
All the reg hack does is update the value on the Today page to display the Day as well. Your regional settings are untouched.
