transfering extended warranty?

Well, i bought an x50v from my friend that had about 500 days of warranty left. I did the warranty transfer form, sent it, and forgot about it. today i checked my warranty, and it says 199 days! do you loose extended if you do a transfer?

I dont think you lose extended warranty. I purchased extended warranty when I brought 2 axim x30 back in march. One of which was for my use and the other was for my brother. I transferred the warranty over to him shortly (within 2-3 weeks i think), and everything seems fine for him.

But now you guys got me worried. I better check on his warranty status when he gets back over the weekend.

I spoke to Dell Canada about it and that's what I was told. But my faith in Dell Canada is not particularly strong :)
