IR Port Issue

I just got my axim x50 today and it seems to be working great. I have found one issue though. I purchased a version of NoviiRemote and I can't get my axim to learn anything. I go to learn mode, press the button on the axim, and then hold down the button on the remote, but nothing happens.

I thought that maybe the IR port wasn't working so I tried sending a file to another PDA and that worked. I could not receive a file back though.

Any thoughts?

you have to go to start --> settings --> connections tab --> ir and check that box that says accept incomming messages :)

Isn't that usually checked off by default?

it usually is checked by default, but it may not be

with that checked the X50v should receive all beams...(it will usually ask you if you want to accept the incomming file)

I checked and that box was checked. Any other ideas?

Maybe you can try and use another program. I believe that there is a demo of griffen remote on the cd that came with your axim. Try to install it. Then see if it works.
