Slow transfers

Hey i just got a 4gig CF card for my Axim X50V and im trying to copy a movie and some music over to it and it goes hella slow!! I figured it was probably just active sync going really slow. So i grabbed a FTP program and tried to grab some stuff from my computer and it was only going at 61KB/s.

Any way to speed these transfers up? I would hope for atleast something near wireless max speed.

Really, the best idea is a card reader...mine still takes a minute or 3 to transfer several hundred mg files- but waaaayyyyy faster than active sync. Try ebay- you can usually get these pretty cheap. ~Anne

Active Sync is extreamly slow and unreliable for copying large files. Card Reader is the way to go.
I don't use CF cards so no advice im afraid. Tweezers may help.

Yeah... I wouldn't use active sync for anything but PIM transimission, and very small files... plus it's only USB 1.1... with such large files to transfer you want a USB 2 card reader!
