Your Pocket Outlook is probably set to retrieve messages every so often. Try this - Start Messaging, then tap the Accounts menu > pick account in list > Next > Next > Next > Options > Uncheck "Connect and check for messages every:" > Next > Next > Finish
Try going into the network settings - Start, Settings, Connections (tab), Connections, Set up my Proxy server. On the Proxy server tab, check the top box (This network connects to the Internet) but leave everything else on this page blank. On the General tab, the name should be "My Work Network." OK and then select the Advanced (tab), Select Networks and select "My Work Network" from both of the pull down lists.

nope, it does me no good. whatever, if worse comes to worse, i'll just have to live with it. i am surprised however, that I seem to be the only one with this problem. I haven't really touched any of the settings, so all my settings are pretty much default.
if you are working with a wireless connection, is it maybe the case that you have odessy trying to connect to any router, or that it is trying to connect to another router somehow that is in your area?
I have the same problem with my Dell X30 624mhz if its not on the cradle or wifi isnt connected then i get that error. I have disabled the check mail option and it still comes up with the same message
"Cannot Connect"
Cannot connect with current connection settings. To change your connection settings, tap Settings
And is getting quite annoying when trying to play games or watch movies. is it the axim looking for a connection when connectivity has been switched off?
The only thing i havent done is change the profile it uses to connect with (currently set to "work"). If it is odessy that is trying to connect why is it when i have used odessy it has never managed to find anything?!!?
Grrrrrr!!!
Im loathing the idea of phoning dell cust support incase they say reset it all and try again... after waiting 20 minutes for them to read it from the website/intranet script.... Again!
Someone must of had the same problem before me??? and cookie?
Any advise greatly appreciated...
(taking a hammer to it is not an option!!!! not for another 11 months atleast :-P)
Nothing else apart from internet explorer that require access to the net... Unless TOMTOM does internet updates whilest switched off?
