If the files are PC related and are on your PC you should be able to open them. You will not be able to open file located in your PPC using Explorer on your PC. It will only open the properties of the file.

As Frenchy said, you cannot use Explorer. However, you can use Remote Display Control:

I once tried using the PPC emulator (ie. SDK from microsoft) but had no luck. Maybe someone else got it working?

nope. I didn't give it the best try, but it was definitely not the easiest thing for me. granted I'm not a computer guy
