Question New X50V Sluggish??? Or is it just me??

Just received my X50V today. Charged up all day. Turned on it on, calibrated screen etc etc. Installed AS and connected the X50V. Then checked ROM... had A02. Installed A03 without a problem. Installed Pocket Informant, Pocket Breeze, Pocket Contacts & Weather. Betaplayer .05. & Wisbar2 Advance.

Is it just me?... because I was expecting the Axim to be way more "zippy" than my former HP rx3115. The Axim's menus seem to lag. When an app closes, for a sec I can see part of the closed app and the Today screen before the closed app totally goes away.

Am I expecting too much.. or is something amiss?

Check the CPU speed settings. It may not be set to the speed that you would like. Don't forget that more speed means less battery time. For the CPU setting go to Start > Settings > System tab > Power > Processor Power. Mine is set at Auto but you can increase it.

Yeah Maybe its just you...

This thing zips for me in AUTO mode with SEVGA... I have never had a speed issue with the x50v. If it is too slow for you then put yours in Maximum performance mode. Also make sure you are closing your other programs. I use V-Bar to task switch/close my programs on the fly... As was said before though, the faster you want your PDA the less Battery time you get. That's why I usually leave mine in Auto mode.... It does slow down as the battery runs out but that is because it is going to power saving mode...
