Memory settings for x50v

Under the system settings, where you can change the allocation of memory, wouldn't it be advantageous to allocate all the memory to programs if you have a CF/SD card? What is the purpose of allocating half the memory to programs and storage? Is it because it allows for faster loading of stored info/programs. Thanks for the help!

Don't even bother adjusting the slider, the x50 will take what it needs and will adjust memory automatically, mine started at 50% program/50% storage, now it's 70% memory/30% storage.

Nothing to worry about, unless you start getting low memory errors, then it's time to clean out the junk.
