Quick Question for Reinstall: Pocket Informant to BIS or CF/SD?

Anybody know the advantages/disadvantages to putting informant in BIS or CF/SD?

Thanks!

I think BIS is the slowest type of storage. I'm running PocketInformant from SD card and have no problems. I tried to install everything in BIS once and that made my device so slow I went back to installing everything on SD /CF.

As long as PI is not writing anything to BIS then it should be ok in BIS, which is probably where you want it as a "permanent" application rather than on a "removable" application on an SD/card.

I run Pocket Informant from BIS and do not find it slow at all. Putting programs into Main Memory could slow your OS down. The other point is if your batteries ever die then you lose your Main Memeory but not SD and BIS.

Good point, but you *may* still have to reinstall programs in BIS or memory card IF registry entries, dlls etc. in Main Memory have been deleted. BTW, I have PI in BIS without significant slowdown.
