The best method is to remove it and re-install it in BIS. When re-installing via ActiveSync add/Remove programs, click "No" when asked if it is to be installed to the Default Location. Then select BIS from the Menu which will appear.
If you have Resco Explorer 2003 you can also move it from Main Memory to BIS using cut and paste. Purists say that this will cause problems in the Registry, but I have done it very many times without any problems at all. You will have to re-point the shortcut however. Go to Windows\Start Menu\Programs and delete the *.lnk file for the program you are moving. Then go to the BIS Folder, find the program *.exe file, tap and hold on this and select "Go to....", then select "Start menu as a shortcut". Then go back to Windows\Start Menu and move the shortcut *.lnk file from Start Menu to Programs, again using cut and paste. This is much easier to do that to describe.
I'm glad this question is being asked.
I have an addendum/newbie question.
Is the main memory on the X50v the equivalent of the C: drive on
a PC and the Build in storage like the D: drive?
Typically I would put all my programs on my D: drive and
leave my C: drive alone because it is the main drive for the
operating system(That is on my PC.).
Not really. Main Memory is RAM which is volatile. All its contents will be lost after a Hard Reset or total power failure. This is why it is essential to back up frequently (like every day).
BIS is in ROM. ROM contains the Operating System (approximately 32 MBytes) and what is left over is called BIS and is available to store programs or data. ROM is not volatile and its contents will not be lost.
It is always better to instal programs on a SD or CF card or in BIS, as this leaves Main Memory as empty as possible, which allows programs to run faster.
Read Gigi's excellent tutorial "Installing, Running and Uninstalling Software" which explains the various forms of memory very well.

If you still have the cab files lying around, i would recommend that you place the files in the BIS and just uninstall the program and reinstall from there using CabInstl. With CabIntal, you can put it exactly where you want it in BIS/Main/ or any of your cards.
this program is esp helpful if u ever do a hard reset, and want to install the programs w/o a pc being around. however, it does require to have the cab files somewhere in local storage.
any idea how I would have lost everything on my SD card? I didn't use my Axim for one day, turned it on and my data was gone from my SD card. The battery was 75%
The only thing on the card was a Temporary Internet Files folder.
I'm currently writing a program that should make it easy to move programs around. it will copy a folder to another location, scan the registry correcting any paths, as well as scanning files in the orriginal directoy and pointing them to the new location.

Now THAT would be a seriously cool program! :approve:

I should have a version available for testing within a few weeks. I have a cross country drive coming up soon where I won't be able to work on anything.

Would you be up for taking peoples e-mail that are interested and e-mailing copies of the program to them, kind of like beta testers?
