I carry it around in a shoulder bag in the slip case that came with it. Something got in there. Good luck.

hrmm .. metrocard .. guess that would put u in the vincinity of new york city *grin* .. are there any "groups" around here for ppc's?
as for putting the axim in a backpack, i do the same but i use the innopocket case .. and even jostleing around with my misc metal objects (keys, looks change, etc) i have not had one worry yet. the case is rather scratched, but heck, it's protected.

Not that I know of and I was thinking of the Innopocket case but I am waiting to hear a few more positive things about that case. Love the flip style but I hear that they still are having problems with the clips that keep it shut

to find out if you have a new or refurbished device take the battery out of your hand held and someware in the battery compartment is a yellow sticker that says "refurbished".

I think i had a refurbish but it didn't have a sticker. I know it because as soon as I got the unit, the BACKUP battery is low (they didn't ship me the stylus, battery and battery cover)

I experienced the same problems with my X50v. Dell Tech Support had me performing both soft and hard resets in an attempt to fixing my problem alignment problems. I used the business card method of clearing out under the edges of the screen that I picked here at the Aximsite, but nothing worked. After several weeks of working the issues with Dell in the States, they shipped a NEW replacement Axim (not a refurbished unit) to me here in South Korea. Even though it took a while (long distance mailings), I’m happy with how Dell helped me out.

Nope, no Konglish spoken. I'm American and did everything via email. Toll free calls to Dell are treated as long distance international calls over here (even if the Rep is in Bangalore).

This might sound wierd but if i have call after 11 am cst and before 4 pm cst and gotten an american rep EVERY time, but outside of those hours, and i get an indian-ish sounding rep.
I found the english speaking reps MUCH easier to deal with in language and situation. I did get 1 indian rep who was being VERY nice, and trying VERY hard to fix the problem. But most of them were very hard to understand and did not seem to know anything outside of the script(s).
